Meet our newest arrival, 11 week old Barney, who is currently living with me in Brooksville, FL.  Barney was found on the side the road two weeks ago, shaking and injured with something wrapped around his neck and front paw.  His rescuer, Denise Dube, took him home and noticed something wrong with his back leg.  When she took him to her vet and had him x-rayed they discovered a severely broken leg from either being hit or thrown from a car.   The choices are to have the leg surgically repaired, or wait and eventually have it amputated.  There is no question that this little trooper deserves the best chance at a normal life, and if possible, with all 4 legs.  Barney will also be looking for a very special forever home once he has recovered.
 
He needs to have surgery to save his leg.  Dr. Patrick Jones at  GARRISON'S ANIMAL HOSPITAL in Spring Hill, Florida will be doing the surgery and the estimated cost of the surgery is $800-$1,000.   We are desperately seeking donations to cover the cost for his surgery. 
 
Any donations can be made directly to Garrison's Animal Hospital,  8008 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL (352-340-5928) - in Barney's name.  Anyone wanting a  receipt for their donation for tax purposes, can just put "receipt" next to Barney's name on their check, and a letter/receipt will be mailed to them.
